Yingzhi Technology today announced a strategic authorization cooperation with Ceva. Both parties have integrated Ceva's advanced NeuPro-Nano and NeuPro-M neural processing unit (NPU) into the Xinzhi new generation of audio-visual display subsystem (VDSS) platform to jointly promote the growth and competition of the smart edge equipment market.
As the demand for smart and audio-visual devices is accelerating in the consumption and industrial market, the cooperation between Huanzhi and Ceva will provide high-efficiency audio, image, visual, sensing and AI processing applications for multimedia SoCs and smart side devices such as smart displays, on-board boxes and various visual computing devices.
Strategic cooperation combines intelligent and mature design expertise with global customer base, as well as Ceva's powerful AI software development tool. The dual goal is to simplify the AI SoC development process, accelerate the listing process of ODM, OEM and semiconductor partners, help customers develop innovative edge AI solutions, and promote the growth and competition of the smart edge equipment market.

NeuPro-Nano embedded AI NPU is specially designed for ultra-low power applications and is especially suitable for long-term standby audio, voice, visual and sensory situations. It natively supports Transformer models and can efficiently execute small language model (SLM) and other new AI work loads on the edge, optimizing in-depth learning and recommending various intelligent edge applications.
Interconnected with this is that NeuPro-M NPU IP provides expanded performance from 4 to 200 TOPS per core, supporting advanced models including Transformer, Vision Transformer (ViT) and Generative AI. By integrating two NPUs into the Smart VDSS platform, Smart ASIC designs customers to gain flexible and powerful AI acceleration solutions.
