According to the British media "The Times", Marco Silva is Nottingham Forest's first choice to replace Postkoglu, but the former is unwilling to leave Fulham in the middle of the season.

It is understood that Forest has been trying to persuade Marco Silva to leave Fulham. His contract only has the last year left, but so far, they have not received any sign that Marco Silva is willing to leave in the middle of the season. Dyche remains a contender, although he is believed to be unwilling to accept a short-term deal.

Marco Silva has a release clause in Fulham's contract, which is believed to be worth more than 10 million pounds. This clause needs to be met before the transfer can be realized. Forest have already paid compensation for Postkoglu and Nuno this season.

It is understood that Forest has not made formal contact with Fulham regarding Marco Silva. While Marco Silva is their preferred candidate, they have also contacted former Everton and Burnley boss Dyche, as well as ex-Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini.

Forest boss Evangelos Marinakis has long admired Marco Silva, who won the Greek League title with Olympiacos in 2016.
