Alina Lazaryeva of Kuwait Animal Aid was contacted to rescue a well-behaved cat that had been abandoned in a dump outside. A volunteer rescuer rushed to the area with equipment and quickly spotted the cat.

It was much larger than they had imagined based on the discoverer's photos. The cat will also follow people to their cars as if it is ready to return to the comforts of indoor life.

"Our volunteers put the flight box down and it walked right in...," Alina shared with a friend.

"I thought it was a small milk cat, but it turned out to be a big handsome guy.

It's not uncommon to see abandoned purebred cats on the streets of Kuwait. Alina and her team of volunteers work tirelessly on the ground

Liam was found wandering in the area when he was about 10-12 months old, hoping someone could pick him up and take him to safety

With the help of individual animal rescuers, Leah. Mu was lucky enough to be taken away from the dangerous streets in time.

Alina took Liam home to be fostered so that he could have a comfortable place to stay while they began to find him a loving, forever home.

A few days later, Liam fell in love with Alina.

"He began to trust me, was relaxed in my presence, was playful, and snored constantly...

After Liam was neutered and thoroughly vetted, he was ready to find his new place. Kuwait Animal Aid works with partners in the United States to place these animals into good homes.

Hannah Freund and her sister Hailey learned about these rescued cats through Kitty Love Kuwait. When Hannah saw Liam for the first time, she fell in love with him at first sight and wanted to give him the happy life he deserved. After going through the process of getting along, it turned out that they were a perfect match for each other. Liam flew across the ocean as planned to reunite with his new mother in Maryland.

When that day came, Liam was picked up by a volunteer at the airport and taken to his forever home. The adorable cat, now named Jax, snuggled into Hannah's arms as if she had always been his expected owner.

"He warmed up right away and was very attached from day one. Very calm, loving, and a cuddle bug," Hannah's mother, Kimberly Ann, shared with a friend. Jax is happy to be in his new home.

Not only does Hannah find her best friend from Kuwait, but so does her sister Hayley...

Hayley opens her heart to Xylo (born Donovan from Kitty Love Kuwait), a beautiful, affectionate tabby cat.

Jax had his first vet check-up appointment with his forever family. He immediately became a favorite, charming the staff with his adorable personality.

Jax walked into the cat carrier that fateful day and never looked back... Now, he's thriving in a loving home with the people he loves most, living the dream life he's always wanted.
