Adidas released the official matches of the men's and women's football teams in the 2025/26 season.

Adidas announced the official match balls for the 2025/26 European Champions League and Women's European Champions League group stages on August 27. The two new balls will debut in the Champions League play-offs starting August 27.

The design of the new UEFA Champions League ball is inspired by the night sky. The golden outlined stars complement each other with the blue background, and are dotted with golden hand-painted constellations, symbolizing the heroic deeds and destiny of the players. The women's Champions League balls draw inspiration from deep space and the northern lights. The hexagon between the white stars adopts a dark purple color, and is superimposed with a technical gradient of neon green and a flowing neon green pattern, inspired by the sun movement of the northern lights. The fine pink and white star details echo the glory of the deep space and add the final light to the sphere. Both balls use a number of Adidas innovations and have been tested in wind tunnels and field tests to improve performance:

- PRISMA surface structure with concave and convex patterns for improved accuracy and arc;

- The outer coating provides a solid grip and complete control, seamless thermal bonding structure for optimal performance;

- The innovative CTR-CORE core is tuned for accuracy and consistency, supporting fast and accurate matches while maintaining optimal shape and air pressure. The

core consists of two parts: a zero-waste renewable natural rubber liner and an outer layer made of double-layer PES fabric that gives the liner strength and shape.

In addition, the official game balls for the 2025/26 season use more bio-based materials than before, including corn fiber, sugar cane, wood pulp and rubber, but do not affect their performance. The application of these new materials helps to reduce environmental impact.

Adidas' partnership with Common Goal will continue, with 1% of global net football sales revenue to drive lasting social change in underserved communities and create a better and more inclusive future through football.

The new official game ball will be available on Adidas stores, designated retail stores and adidas.com/football-balls online platforms.
